A county-wide elected office with a four year term, the Collector’s position is held by Anita L. Sullivan. Mrs. Sullivan has been the county collector since 2003.

The Montgomery County Collector of Revenue is the elected official responsible for collecting current and delinquent property taxes for the county and various political subdivisions within the county which have authorized property tax levies. In addition to property taxes, the collector also collects merchant license and pool table fees, levee taxes, and railroad and utility tax.

The collector is responsible for the accounting and distribution of collections to tax entities such as school, road, and fire districts.  Taxes for the cities of Bellflower, High Hill, Jonesburg, McKittrick, Middletown, New Florence, Rhineland, and Wellsville are collected by the county collector.

By law, the collector must use any legal means to collect delinquent taxes.   The tax sale is held in August every year as a means of collecting delinquent real estate tax.

Primary tax records are maintained and held for public use within the collector’s office.  Currently, the office does not provide taxes online for viewing.  There is a public terminal in the lobby of the Courthouse Annex located at 310 Salisbury, Montgomery City.

Requests can be made using the emails below.
